'One question: does he score'

An anytime touchdown prop pays if the player scores a rushing or receiving touchdown at any point in the game. It does not matter when, or how many.

How the prop works

The prop settles on the player crossing the goal line with the ball, on a run or a catch. A touchdown pass does not count for the quarterback who threw it. He has to run it in himself.

Because the answer is yes or no, the number that matters is a probability. A running back who scores in half his games is a different prop from a tight end who scores in one game out of eight, even when both are called anytime scorers.

A model can give every player a chance of at least one touchdown this week, and that chance has a fair price. A 40% chance has a fair price of 2.50, because 1 divided by 0.40 is 2.50.

Anytime touchdowns, answered

Does a passing touchdown count for the quarterback?

No. Anytime touchdown props settle on rushing and receiving touchdowns. A quarterback's throws are a separate market, passing touchdowns.

How often do players actually score?

It varies a lot by role. The team pages on this site count the games each player has scored in so far, which is the record the projection starts from.
